We offer several different options for insulation. Traditional Batt Insulation, Blow in Blanket System (BIBS), Drill and Fill for walls that need insulating, Cellulose Insulation (green product), and Spray Foam Insulation.
Our Replacement Windows are for existing homes. The vinyl windows are the best with weather as it expands as the weather changes. We offer double hung/single hung windows to replace your old. The windows are insulated and can have colonial lites added in between the window panes for a nice decoration.
Spray foam insulation is a mixture of isocyanate and polyol resin. These two properties form an expanding foam that can be sprayed onto concrete slabs, roof tiles, into wall cavities, or through holes drilled into the cavities of a finished wall. The US Department of Energy found that 40% of a home’s energy is lost through air leaks. This raises utility bills. Spray foam insulation insulates up to 50% more efficiently than traditional insulation. Spray foam can be used for filling gaps and stop the leaks in areas of a home or building that batt insulation can not reach.
Batt Insulation is the traditional way of insulating a home. It is a pre-cut product that is placed in exterior/interior walls, floors, and some areas of ceiling areas that can not be blown to help with temperature control in your home. We offer both kraft faced and unfaced batt insulation materials. It is often used to insulate floors, walls and ceilings. Batt insulation comes in the form of a pre-cut panel. Batt insulation is generally made of fiberglass and is also used for acoustic and thermal insulation. Batts are most popular of insulation, due to when installed correctly they are effective and economical.
Cellulose is a green product made of recycled newspaper. Cellulose can be sprayed in walls as well as attics. It is also helpful with insects. This is a product suggested by most major pest control companies. Cellulose can be applied four different ways for reasons in different parts of a building/home. They are dry, wet spray, stabilized, and low dust. Cellulose provides great thermal coverage with an R-value of 3.8 per inch. Cellulose has a fire rating of Class 1, and can easily fit around items in your walls like pipes and wiring. Cellulose is often sprayed in walls and roofs to insulate, reduce noise, and control against mold. It is the most efficient for long term costs on utility bills.
